ABOUT J. B. WHITE AND THIS SITE

Although I make my living as a screenwriter, I have been playing music and writing songs since I was 12. Over the past number of years, I have gone to Ocean Way Studios in Nashville every August. There, under the stellar guidance of producer Donny Marrow (a dear pal from way back) and musical director Kevin Madill (a dear pal of more recent vintage), along with a core group of the city's breathtakingly brilliant musicians, I have been recording songs from my catalogue.

Many are quite old, a few are brand new. I created this site to share these recordings with the world. Since I write and sing in a variety of styles, it seemed the most sensible way to organize the tracks was to put them in chronological order – to the extent I can remember when I wrote them.
